No mistake could compare with forgetting that mistakes are how we learn.

If you've ever traveled in Asia, you may have seen the street vendors who sell T-shirts printed with off-kilter English phrases like "Cool Patrol" and "Sport Team World Is Good!" You sort of know what they're getting at, but then again, maybe you don't. It's the same feeling you get from listening to the hits of your Birthstar, Roxette -- hits packed with such lines as "Her lovin' is a wild dog!"; "She's the heart of the fun-fair!"; and "She's tellin' all her secrets, IN A WONDERFUL BALLOON!" From a purely musical perspective, it would be fair enough to say forget about the lyrics, since it was really their bright pop hooks and pleasant good looks that launched your adorable Swedish Birthstar into the constellation Eurosomething. But popstrologically speaking, Roxette's lyrics are the very key to understanding their powerful legacy to you. For while your Birthstar's lyrics were often beyond understanding for native speakers of the English language, Roxette were so confident and enthusiastic singing their cheery nonsense that no one really cared whether any of it made sense. And confidence, or the lack thereof, is indeed the ruling issue in the lives of popstrological Roxettes, whose best selves will always be found when they set aside their fear of looking or sounding ridiculous and give the world a chance to love them despite their imperfections.
