Come judgment day, you'll still be able to look yourself in the mirror, rather happily.

Someday, they will make a smash-hit Broadway musical of your Birthstar's famous story, and the most uplifting scene of all will be when Milli and Vanilli first approach each other after meeting eyes across the floor of an L.A. nightclub, and they begin to sing: "I like your braids/I like your moves/You stole my look/You stole mine, too!" The show will end in tragedy, of course, as a lip-synching scandal turns them into the most ridiculed star in the pop universe and drives poor Milli (or is it Vanilli?) to his death. But in that first act, a critical and often overlooked side of your Birthstar's story will be told: the story of how two young men working the exact same look overcame the human instinct to destroy the competition. It really could have gone either way, but Milli and Vanilli chose love (albeit something close to self-love) over war in that moment, and in so doing they propelled themselves to the highest reaches of the pop universe by sheer force of aesthetic destiny. There never was and never will be another star in the pop universe exactly like the one that made you, but it's within your power to show the world what it lost when it banished your Birthstar to the popstrological wilderness. Resist the poison of shame if you can, child of Milli Vanilli, and protect your peace-loving nature. With the forces that will array themselves against you, you'll need it.
