You are the servant who becomes the master without forgetting where you started.

There's only one way to control your economic destiny, and that's to control the means of production. It's a lesson from Marx that most pop stars learn too late or never, but your Birthstar recognized it from the very beginning. That's why Herb Alpert and his friend Jerry Moss pooled their resources and put their initials on a record label of their very own in 1962. Founding A&M Records did more than just make your Birthstar a mint and allow him to make any kind of record he pleased, be it a mariachi jazz number (The Lonely Bull), a schmaltzy Bacharach love ballad (This Guy's In Love With You) or a sultry disco instrumental (Rise). It also put his hands on the very controls of the starmaker machine and earned him a place in the constellation Invisible Hand for making possible the popstrological rise of stars like: the Carpenters, Billy Preston, Captain and Tennille, Styx, the Human League, the Police, Simple Minds, Bryan Adams, Falco, UB40 and Miss Janet Jackson. Your Birthstar helped create in you the makings of a champion for alienated laborers, though whether you apply this gift as a hardened socialist, an enlightened capitalist or simply as a workplace writer of scathing memos to management is entirely up to you.
